ST. LOUIS, MO., April 22, 2013… St. Andrew’s is inviting area residents to don their fanciest hats and prepare to indulge in some delicious mint juleps, as it hosts its 2nd annual Derby Brunch on May 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the elegant Magic Chef Mansion, located at 3400 Russell Blvd in St. Louis City. This year’s event will also feature food tastings from some of St. Louis’ most notable chefs, a culinary judging panel featuring numerous local celebrities and a contest to find the “most fabulous” and “most creative” Derby hat. “Our Derby Brunch is much more than an event – it’s really an experience that shouldn’t be missed,” said Lana Shepek, event chair. “From the elegance of the Magic Chef Mansion and grounds, to the delicious food and drinks and fun Derby hats, we’re working to bring a slice of the Kentucky Derby right here to St. Louis. And the best part is, those that take part in the event get to have an amazing time while also helping to raise much-needed funds for low-income seniors in our area.”
