Julie Hauser

President

A 30-year veteran of the PR industry, Julie’s experience includes time as editor of a major metropolitan magazine, as well as more than 25 years as principal of a St. Louis-based public relations firm that has the honor of having client relationships dating back to the firm’s earliest years. Drawing on her first-hand knowledge of how the media works and how to project a positive image in the media, Julie has developed and implemented countless successful campaigns, ranging from grassroots community relations programs to national publicity efforts. She also has coordinated numerous memorable events.

Clients Julie has served operate in both the public and private sectors and are involved in variety of industries, including higher education, economic development, transportation, construction, recreation, telecommunications, technology, healthcare, real estate and more. She and her team are adept at crafting messages that resonate and communicating complex information to diverse audiences in creative ways that inform and inspire. 

As president of The Hauser Group, Julie plays a key role in developing media and community relations strategies for all clients and works to identify or create opportunities to generate positive stories in the media. She believes in a team approach to serving clients and works closely with other staff members to ensure the strategic plans for each account are on track, on budget and on target in terms of generating results. She also maintains a series of strategic alliances with branding and design firms, ad agencies, video and web production specialists, digital experts and mail houses, so that The Hauser Group can meet the whole spectrum of marketing needs for its clients. 

Julie received a 2010 Women Influencing Now Regional Economic Development Award from Winning Women. The award recognized her accomplishments as a woman entrepreneur in the City of St. Louis and the direct influence her public relations efforts have had on furthering the economic development of the bi-state region. 

A native of County Wexford, Ireland, Julie is a graduate of Washington University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Journalism. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and served as a member of the board of the Leadership Council Southwestern Illinois for many years. She lives in Des Peres, Mo., with her husband Mike, where they are adapting to being empty nesters now that their children are both grown.
