Delta Dental Invested $119 million to Improve Oral Health Across Communities Nationwide, Impacting Over 15 Million Lives, Including 173,300+ in Missouri

The Delta Dental Institute has released its 2024 Community Impact Report, highlighting more than $119 million in investments to improve oral health across all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico. These efforts impacted over 15 million lives, reinforcing Delta Dental’s role as the nation’s largest oral health philanthropist.

Delta Dental’s community impact investments focused on closing oral health care gaps for older adults, veterans, and rural communities while strengthening oral health education for children. These investments bring Delta Dental’s total community contributions over the past 15 years to more than $2.3 billion, a testament to our long-standing mission to advance oral and overall health.

In Missouri, St. Louis-based Delta Dental of Missouri invested more than $1.15 million in 2024, impacting 173,300+ individuals through programs and initiatives. This includes awarding dozens of oral health grants, teaching thousands of kindergarten through third-grade students essential oral health habits via in-person and virtual performances of its Land of Smiles® educational program, and providing donations and dental care supplies to charitable and community organizations.

“Everyone deserves a healthy smile, so it’s our privilege to contribute to Delta Dental’s nationwide impact by supporting community initiatives that help our neighbors throughout Missouri,” said Rob Goren, president and CEO at Delta Dental of Missouri, a non-profit organization and the state’s leading dental benefits provider and oral health philanthropist. “As a non-profit and a Delta Dental member company, we put donated funds to work year-round helping children and adults get vital dental care and services to improve their overall health and quality of life.”
